Linne med blocktryck i rött och brunt med målade detaljer i blått, gult och grönt. Tyget är tryckt i Philadelphia 1775-1776 – Tryckt signatur: ”Philadelphia, printed by Walters & Bedwell”.
Thomas Bedwell kom från London efter 1772 och ägnade sig förutom tygtryck åt tapettryck illustrationer och bokutgivning. De tidigaste amerikanska kattuntryckerierna låg kring Philadelphia.

Panel of block print on linen in red and brown, with pencilled details in blue, yellow and green. The print was made in Philadelphia 1775-1776. It has a stamped signature: ”Philadelphia, printed by Walters & Bedwell”. And is one of the earliest proved example of American textile printing. Many of the first printing manufactories were located to Philadelphia.
Thomas Bedwel immigrated from London after 1772. Besides textile printing he also made wallpaper, illustrations and books.
